Josef Mengele, the infamous Nazi doctor who notoriously conducted human experiments on prisoners including children at the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II, is now himself the subject of medical study, Science Alert reports.

The remains of Mengele, who died in exile in Brazil in 1979 having fled Europe after the war, are now being used in classes at the University of São Paulo to help medical students learn about forensic science.

The idea came from pathologist Daniel Romero Muñoz – one of the researchers who identified Mengele’s skeleton when it was exhumed in 1985, and is now a lecturer in the university’s medical school. Muñoz felt that the remains of the man nicknamed the “Angel of Death” could serve as a remarkable teaching aid for students. 1. I think this is pretty upsetting. There are probably neo-nazis who would feel sacred to touch such bones and may likely be very famously impressed in some horrible way that the nazi doctor is still in any way a contribution agenda for the planet. Am I wrong?

Seriously, it is very uncanny. But medical education is a master of all crime. I guess on the other token it has a paced justice for the bad thoughts of any such skull. The holes in the skull to study become the future of real patient care. His Foramen Magnum will be with fingers inserted.

Its pretty scary. I would wonder what the public opinion is on this matter.

Could Mengele skeleton be the way that healing takes place or just a relic of a madman with no honor. It is probably a very bad decision. Careless to think we could consider it even an honor.

  2. “אַף הוּא רָאָה גֻלְגֹּלֶת אַחַת שֶׁצָּפָה עַל פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם. אָמַר: עַל דַּאֲטֵפְתְּ, אַטְפוּךְ. וְסוֹף מְטַיְּפַיִךְ יְטוּפוּן”
He (Hillel) also saw a skull floating upon the water. He said to it: Because you drowned others, you were drowned; and those who drowned you, will themselves be drown

  3. There should not be any remains of Mengele YMS left today. If he were alive and they wanted to use him for painful dangerous medical research that can not be done on anyone else I would understand. But now there should be no remains of him in this world.

There are those who even oppose using useful research that he discovered with his experiments. Most of his research of course wasn’t for useful purpose. Just to torture. YM”S.

  4. Cremate the bones and feed it to pigs! Let the human pig mix with pig feces! If only the mamzer can be brought back to life just to murder over and over again!

  5. There seems to be some poetic justice in this. But it calls to mind something I recently heard in a shiur: Haman’s grandchildren were geirim. How could Haman be zoche to this? Because he was the “cheftza shel mitzvah,” the catalyst for so many people to do teshuva.
I’m not sure how valuable a learning tool these bones are, but I’d rather not see him having any positive contribution to humanity if possible.
