NY Governor Kathy Hochul may not be camera-shy on the campaign trail, but her vehicles, driven by state cops, travel incognito when it comes to being photographed for speeding and running red lights, Local Today reports. Both Hochul and Lt. Governor Antonio Delgado — Democrats driving campaign platforms to curb car use — are being chauffeured around New York City and the state in SUVs equipped with license plates that traffic cameras can’t identify, The NY Post reports.
Unlike NYPD security detail Mayor Eric Adams and other city officials, whose vehicles are not cloaked from examining the camera program, state-owned vehicles used by the State Police Protection Service Unit to transport Hochul, their Democratic running mate and their associates, are coming back as “NO-HIT” in the database of the Motor Vehicle Office.
A state police spokesman confirmed that the license plates are to remain anonymous “as a security measure.”
Naysayers argue that the governor and her detail should be held accountable like any other driver.
Kathy and her staff are as elitist as you can get. 2 sets of rules. One for the privileged white elitists, and another for the dumb stupid gullible taxpayers. Do as I say not as I do.
