According to sources in Yerushalayim, Maran Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv is expected to approve an agreement between rabbonim and the Executive Committee of Intel Corporation which would bring the recent standoff surrounding the opening of the Intel plant in Yerushalayim on Shabbos to an end. Under the agreement, Intel would employ only non-Jews on Shabbos and thus prevent any chillul Shabbos performed by Jewish workers.
If the agreement is signed, it will end the ongoing saga that has garnered the attention of the city of Yerushalayim and all of Israel, with weekly protests held at the Intel plant.
The agreement, according to sources, was formulated without the involvement of the Eidah Hachareidis. Under the agreement, Intel is committed to following the guidance and direction of the vaad of rabbonim involved. The rabbonim will be bringing each shailah and situation to Rav Elyashiv for his ruling and advice.
More information will be provided on Matzav.com News if and when the agreement is finalized.

B”H! I heard Intel has caved in to our demands and agreed not to allow any Yidden to work in their Yerushlayim office on Shabbos Kodesh!
The Kovod Shabbos Rallies have brought success! The Gedolim Shlita have been proven correct once more.
Will there continue to be demonstrations?
#3 it is called “Trust, but verify.” We must insure Intel holds up its part of the bargain.
