Space scientist Alex Friedman requested his local rabbi to compose a tefillah for the success of the “Beresheet” spacecraft.

Friedman, who is a chossid of Chabad, is one of the leaders of the Israeli space project which launched Beresheet towards the moon.

Recently, he asked Rabbi Gideon Binyamin, who serves as rabbi of Nof Ayalon, to write a “Tefillas Haderech” for him to say during the historical launch.

The words of the tefillah are below:

(“May it be your will, L-rd our G-d and G-d of our fathers, that You send blessing and success to everything we do, that You lead our spacecraft to peace and bring it to peace, and save it from all sorts of malfunctions, and allow us to see it reach the moon in peace. And may You bring it back in happiness and in peace. Because G-d gives wisdom, and from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Because You are a G-d Who hears prayers and supplications. Blessed are You, who hears prayers.”)

      • OK sure.

        In English:

Korach’s dream. This is not sane.

Explained for the guard on duty at the strike Israel asylum. Korach is korach. Sanity can be a word to write to describe a normal health.

Thank you. In english for the emotionally superior trash win of man. You are expensive.

        Again? Ok. In english:

Korach’s dream. This is not sane.

  1. They sent up a tanach this time. I hope it doesn’t explode like the shuttle with Ilan Ramon. I have a strong feeling that the reason it exploded was because he brought up with him a Sefer Torah. Don’t mess with a Sefer Torah. It says ‘ Torah Lo Bashamayim Hee’ . Hashem intended that his Torah should stay on this world – planet earth. For what very reason any other place is not befitting. Never ran this by daas Torah. Just a simple jew’s ‘gefeel’.
