Will the comptroller election be former governor Eliot Spitzer’s redemption?
According to a poll from NBC 4 New York/Wall Street Journal/Marist Poll, the politician who was pushed from office after a scandal is leading in the race by 9 points over his opponent, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer.
Spitzer is favored by registered Democrats by 42 percent, over Stringer’s 33 percent.
The ex-governor still must collect 3,750 signatures by today to ensure his spot on the ballot. Read more at NBC New York.
