The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has officially announced the passing of Staff Sergeant Eitan Dov Rosenzweig, a 21-year-old soldier hailing from Alon Shvut, who was killed during a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Rosenzweig was a member of the Shaked Battalion within the Givati Brigade.
The fallen soldier was also pursuing his education at the Yerucham Hesder Yeshiva. Expressing deep sorrow, the Association of Hesder Yeshivas released a statement, saying, “The Association of Hesder Yeshivas deeply mourns the loss of Givati soldier Staff Sergeant Eitan Dov Rosenzweig, a student at the Yerucham Hesder Yeshiva, who sacrificed his life in the conflict. On behalf of all Hesder Yeshiva leaders, rabbis, and students, we extend our heartfelt support to the grieving family during these challenging times and pray for a resolute victory by our courageous soldiers against our vile and ruthless adversaries. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
Additionally, a reservist from the Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504 sustained severe injuries during the battle. Furthermore, a soldier serving in the Golani Reconnaissance Unit also suffered critical wounds.
