The IDF has announced the name of another soldier who was killed during operations in the Gaza Strip: staff sergeant Roy Elias, 21, hailing from Tzofar.
He served within the ‘Storm of the Golan’ unit, operating under the 603rd combat engineering battalion.
His death resulted from a targeted anti-tank missile strike in Khan Younis.
Earlier today, the IDF released the names of eight soldiers who perished during Gaza operations over Shabbos:
David Bogdanovskyi, 19, from Haifa
Orel Bashan, 20, from Haifa
Gal Hershko, 20, from Yiftach
Itamar Shemen, 21, from Lapid
Nadav Yissachar Farchi, 30, from Herzliya
Eliyahu Meir Ochana, 28, from Haifa
Elyassaf Shoshan, 23, from Yerushalayim
Ohad Ashur, 23, from Kfar Yona
Furthermore, six soldiers sustained severe injuries in various engagements.
Since the commencement of the ground offensive in Gaza, a total of 154 soldiers have lost their lives.
