Matzav.com note:

Dennis and Judi have defended the general Orthodox Jewish community on a consistent basis even to the point of being criticized by other 101.5 hosts. No matter what hit the fan, they were the only voice of reason defending our community and our value system from the onslaught of real media bigotry.

Because of the insane political correct world we live in today, they have been suspended and possibly terminated because of a silly misconstrued comment they made. Was it a bit insensitive? Yes, but not an offense for them to be let go. The Jersey media has referred to our community in a much more bigoted and hurtful way but with no peep from any elected official. They are a comedic pair and their shtick is to poke fun at Jersey politicians and give them unflattering nicknames.

They were the only sane conservative voices calling our elected officials to task for all the crazy nonsense that goes on in this state.

Now is the time for a little hakoras hatov by calling and emailing the station and Town Square media to support Dennis and Judi.

A 101.5 FM report:

New Jersey 101.5 has taken its mid-day hosts, Dennis Malloy and Judi Franco, off the air until further notice in light of comments about state Attorney General Gurbir Grewal made during Wednesday’s show.

“We are aware of the offensive comments made by Dennis and Judi during today’s broadcast,” the station said Wednesday night. “We have taken immediate action and have taken them off the air until further notice. We are investigating the matter and will have further comment shortly.”

Malloy and Franco had been discussing Grewal’s recent order to suspend marijuana prosecutions, when Malloy said he couldn’t remember Grewal’s name — and told Franco “I’m just going to say the guy with the turban.”

The pair continued to call Grewal “Turban Man” throughout the segment.

The comments caught widespread attention on social media and in national news stories late Wednesday evening, around the time Gov. Phil Murphy released a statement saying he was “outraged” by the comments. An audio recording of the segment was cited frequently on social media as well.

Murphy, in a statement released just after 9 p.m., described the hosts’ comments as “abhorrent and xenophobic.” His statements were echoed in similar criticisms from the state ACLU, state Sen. Vin Gopal, Hoboken Mayor Mayor Ravi Bhalla and others.

Grewal is the state’s first Sikh attorney general, and the American-born son of immigrant parents.

“A proud son of New Jersey and of immigrants, Gurbir has committed his life to giving back to the state and nation that have given his family so much. His story is the American story,” Murphy said when he announced Grewal’s nomination last year.

    • Really? Suspending them for insensitive comments is right? What happened to their right of free speech? If Maxine Waters can exercise her right of free speech and incite her constituents to harass Trump supporters and cabinet members and get away with it and if Sarah Sanders is allowed to be thrown out of restaurant for being White House Press Secretary then Dennis and Judy should be able to call someone “turban head”. What’s allowed for Democrats should be allowed for Republicans.

  1. I don’t knwo from these guys and I will take at face value claims of their defense of the Orthodox community… however… the use of ethnic slurs ALWAYS inappropriate. We certainly wouldn’t put up with derogatory comments about the Jewish community so we shouldn’t tolerate it being said about others. A ten-day suspension seems like a fair penance.

    • Oh you mean like Michael Jackson composing songs with extreme anti semitic lyrics? Crickets. Zzzzzzz. Or that doesn’t count because it doesn’t fit your political agenda?
You are a classic pea brained hypocrite.

  2. What in the world is insensitive about turban man? This just another Leftist Jihad against anything that might slightly affect their mission to convert America into an illegal immigrant depository.

It seems that the governor of New Jersey is a radical Leftist that will impose destructive Leftist ideas on the state. May Hashem protect us from him.
