It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Stanley I. Chera z”l, a prominent member of the Syrian Sephardic community who parlayed his father’s Brooklyn department store business into one of New York real estate’s biggest retail empires, reaped huge rewards from the city’s emergence as a global shopping destination and used his wealth and connections to play kingmaker for Donald Trump.
Stanley, a noted baal tzedakah and baal chesed, died from complications of the coronavirus, making him a most high-profile industry casualty of the global pandemic.

Your headline is misleading. He didn’t “die of Coronavirus”. He died because his allotted time on this world had come to an end. We all have an allotted time here. No one lives forever. It was called out when our nishama came on to this earth.
