Surgeon General Jerome Adams is warning Americans to stop buying medical masks, saying they aren’t effective in preventing the general public from catching coronavirus and are needed for medical professionals.
“Seriously people- STOP BUYING MASKS!” Adams tweeted Saturday. “They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if healthcare providers can’t get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk!” he added.
Adams in his post linked to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for preventing and treating the infection. The CDC does not recommend that healthy people wear medical masks to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including coronavirus. It added that people who show COVID-19 symptoms should wear masks to help prevent the spread of the disease. The CDC also said medical masks are “crucial” for health workers and people who are taking care of someone at home or in a health care facility.

Anon21: Yes, It is more important for Healthcare providers and People who are already infected to have access to masks. Common sense dictates that people who are in contact with the disease should the receive masks (that are only minimally effective to begin with) before wasting them on a healthy person who likely may never even come into contact with a diseased person.

The professional workers wear gloves, masks and possibly (and in some cases usually) goggles. The mask is but one component of a larger picture. And, as already mentioned by another comment, it is the health care worker who comes in intimate and constant contact with the sick, and not just the coronovirus sick, but with all sorts of other and different diseases and sicknesses that certainly need the mask even more so than just for this virus.
Just because the Deep State CDC/WHO gave the common flu a new name, as President Trump exposed to the world last week, doesn’t mean you have to wear a mask. And be careful not to let yourself or family member be brainwashed to take any vaccination if ch”v anyone gets a lung infection (pneumonia / coronavirus) (because it’s the vaccination containing dangerous chemicals that can kill).
