Swine Flu Claims Life of Beit Shemesh Mother

candle-small6An expectant 33-year-old mother, Bracha Faiga Wulliger, of Beit Shemesh, passed away today from the H1N1 swine flu virus at Yerushalayim’s Bikur Cholim Hospital. Her baby was a victim of the virus as well.

When her condition deteriorated, she was rushed to Hadassah University Medical Center in Yerushalayim’s Ein Kerem, but she died despite all the efforts of doctors to save her. She was the 23rd Israeli to due of complications of the H1N1 flu out of more than 3,000 to have been infected.

The Health Ministry reiterated that people at high risk for flu complications – the chronically ill, the obese, pregnant women and smokers – should go to the doctor if they develop flu symptoms of fever, muscle pains and a runny noise.

Mrs. Wulliger is survived by her husband and 10 children.

  1. The suffering, its so painful. May Hashem give strength to all relatives and friends of her husband and children. and May her neshama have an aliyah. Hashem is not telling us anything much different then he tells us with any of the other suffering that we go through. Perhaps the magnitude of this tragedy will reach deeper into people, and with hope these yesurim will result in good deeds that will help bring the Geula faster. This Galus, its dark and painful. we need to have faith and come together as one, and be there, to support one another. May Hashem bring a redemption speedily in our days.
