The condition of Maran Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv continues to be critical according to his doctors, who are very concerned, as Rav Elyashiv has been suffering from a high fever and symptoms of pneumonia. Physicians at Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center continue to try to address water on his lungs and a blood infection. Rav Elyashiv is currently sedated and connected to a respirator.
Doctors are monitoring the 101-year-old posek hador around the clock, trying to address the latest developments.
Rav Elyashiv remains in the cardiac unit on the tenth floor of Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center, as he is now in the hospital for almost one month.
