Rav Yoram Abergel, rosh yeshiva and mekubal from Netivot, is said to be in serious condition.
Rav Abergel has been battling illness for a while and has seen a deterioration in his condition. He is currently at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.
Shas party chairman Aryeh Deri issued a public call to daven for Rav Yoram Michoel ben Rina.
As a zechus for Rav Abergel, Thursday evening, the nosi of the Moetzet Chachmei Hatorah of Shas, Rav Shalom Cohen, added the name Chai to Rav Abergel’s name.
