The rebbe, Rav Chai Yitzchok Isaac Twersky, is a son of Rav Yochanan Twersky of Rachmastrivka and a son-in-law of Rav Yaakov Yosef Twersky of Skver.
The rebbe, a renowned tzaddik and mashpiah, leads his bais medrash and kehillah in Boro Park, Brooklyn.
The rebbe is in the ICU at Maimonides Medical Center in Boro Park, battling a severe case of pneumonia. He had seen some improvement and was taken off of the respirator, but now his condition had regressed and he has been reconnected to the respirator.
All are asked to daven for Rav Chai Yitzchok ben Esther Rivka.
