Tefillos for Rav Shmuel Zalman Stein

Rav Shmuel Zalman Stein, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Birkas Chaim in Lakewood, NJ, iwill be undergoing intricate vital surgery shortly after noon today and is in need of tefillos.

Yeshiva Birkas Chaim was founded twenty years ago by Rav Shmuel Zalman’s illustrious father Rav Chaim Stein zt”l, the Telshe rosh yeshiva, to perpetuate the Torah and the derech hachaim he’d rescued from the embers of Telshe in the same way he’d done for decades in Cleveland. Under the able leadership of his son, Rav Shmuel Zalman, and together with a cadre of mechanchim mumchim, talmidei chachomim and yirei Shomayim, the yeshiva has merited amazing growth and remarkable success, becoming one of the most respected mosdos haTorah in Lakewood and beyond.

Rav Shmuel Zalman is a son-in-law of Rav Yaakov Michoel Hirschman, rosh kollel of Kollel Avreichim of Toronto.

Rav Shmuel Zalman was on the way to a simcha in his hometown of Lakewood this week when a vehicle ran a red light and crashed into his vehicle. The surgery today is to address injuries caused by the accident.
