This evening, a terror shooting rampage on Yerushalayim Boulevard in Yaffo, close to the train station, resulted in the deaths of at least eight people and injuries to seven others.
Magen David Adom confirmed that eight people have lost their lives, and seven more have sustained injuries due to the gunfire. Among those who died are a couple in their twenties, a 17-year-old girl, two women in their thirties, and a man also in his thirties.
A significant deployment of security personnel has been sent to the scene.
Witnesses recounted that one or possibly two assailants began shooting at bystanders.
Authorities are actively searching for two individuals believed to be the shooters and thought to be armed.
Initial reports suggest that the attackers exited the light rail on Yerushalayim Boulevard, drew their firearms, and opened fire on the public. Security forces returned fire, managing to hit at least one of the assailants.
