On Thursday, the Hamas terror group released a video showcasing three hostages who met a tragic fate in the Gaza Strip. Last week, the Israel Defense Forces successfully extracted the bodies of the victims. The individuals featured in the video, namely Elia Toledano, Nik Beizer, and Ron Scherman, were shown alive.
Hamas contends that their attempts to shield the three hostages proved futile, as the IDF allegedly targeted them in the Gaza Strip.
The IDF, in an operation executed by soldiers from the 551st Brigade and Unit 504 of the Intelligence Directorate, transported the bodies of Beizer and Scherman, both IDF soldiers, from the Gaza Strip to Israeli territory. Subsequently, medical personnel and the IDF Rabbinate conducted an identification process, after which the families were officially informed of their loved ones’ demise in captivity and the mission to recover their bodies.
On the same day, the IDF revealed the successful extraction of the body of Elia Toledano, a 28-year-old civilian from Tel Aviv, who had been abducted. The operation to retrieve his body from the Gaza Strip was part of the broader effort conducted by the IDF.
