An Israeli bochur was stabbed by a Palestinian near Shaar Shechem in the Old City of Yerushalayim on Saturday afternoon today. The terrorist was shot dead by Israel police, spurring violent clashes between Palestinians in the area and Israeli security forces.
After attacking the Israeli civilian in the neck and upper body, the Palestinian, identified by authorities as Muhammad Suliman, a 25-year-old man from Salfit, East Jerusalem, also attempted to use his knife to stab a border police officer, Israeli police said in a statement.
Yisroel Weingarten, a first responder paramedic from Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical service, said that the Israeli victim was a chareidi man in his 20s who was taken to the hospital in moderate to severe condition.

The Israeli security forces “acted as quickly and decisively as expected, in front of a terrorist who tried to murder an Israeli citizen,” said Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Twitter.
Israeli police later released footage of the incident, which in all lasted around 30 seconds. It shows the Palestinian man crossing the street, turning to stab the chareidi man as he passes, then lunging at Israeli police officers before being shot and ultimately killed by them.
Israeli Public Security Minister Omer Bar-Lev said that “two or three seconds” after initially shooting the assailant, “the police officers needed to decide if the injured terrorist would detonate an explosive device.”
“When there’s a doubt, there’s no doubt,” Bar-Lev added.
Israeli police used tear gas and crowd dispersal methods to clamp down on violent clashes near the scene of the attack.
Israeli police said in a statement that in the hour following the attack, “false information has been circulated about additional events around the city in an attempt to heat up the area.”
Several hours later, it said that it has arrested and begun interrogating a Palestinian-Israeli man from the northern “triangle” area suspected of having driven the assailant to the scene of the attack.

I just got off the phone with President Biden. He agrees with me that both sides have to tone down the inflammatory rhetoric. Israel must give away more strategic land to the Palestinians.
Arabs have already labeled the obviously legitimate/appropriate response of the border police officers (our heroes) as a summary execution. Since past performance (which in this circumstance does predict future performance) has established that violent felons of a certain ethnicity do bring explosive vests “to work,” I applaud the actions of these two guardians of Israel. These brave civil servants snuffed out the possibility of further Jewish bloodshed. By the way, since these murderous creatures murder only Jews without cause (They murder Arabs only with cause.), their behavior appears racist to me.
Those who do not see the clear and present danger posed by this murderous gentleman, Mr. Suliman, should start a new chesed project to save the lives of such wounded fellows. Many governments encourage their citizens to carry an organ donation card to alert first responders should the potential donor be poised to “check out.” Some people carry a medical alert card to inform first responders of their drug allergies and other factors potentially complicating their medical treatment should they be unable to communicate.
Let thugs who seek to murder, absent any provocation, carry with them a BDS (Bullets Don’t Stop me) card which will inform Border Police, etc. that they intend only to murder retail (one victim at a time) with a handgun or knife, instead of wholesale (multiple victims simultaneously) with an explosive vest, bomb, etc.
Perhaps there should be a new rule of engagement under which border police arriving at the scene of a mass murder, solitary murder, or wounding/attempted murder (like this circumstance), be required to immediately call “Time out” so that they will have an opportunity to examine the documents being carried on the person of the assailant(s). With this methodology, Border Police will be able, within 30 minutes or less, to determine if the bloody incident is a retail or a wholesale transaction. A transaction found to be retail and certified as such by the arriving officers would entitle the perpetrator to legal representation and a fair trial.
The border police will determine whether the assailant has signed the universal declaration of peaceful intent, “I solemnly swear/affirm under penalties of perjury that I commit not to commit mass murder and that I do not wear/am not wearing an explosive vest and I am not carrying a bomb.” The failure of any assailant to abide by the time out or to fail to present an appropriately completed card would require the arriving officers to administer the emergency antibody treatment called, “Empty The Clip (a variety of high speed lead poisoning).”
Should this murder alert card plan be adopted by Israeli Arab communities, it might save the lives of many perpetrators and many bullets.
