A 17-year-old Palestinian girl was arrested today by Israeli forces at the Tapuach Junction near Shechem after she was found to be in possession of a large kitchen knife.
The knife in her bag was assumed not to be there for culinary purposes and the girl was detained.
The Tapuach junction has been the site of a number of recent terror incidents.
Police said that they were tipped off that that a girl from Jenin was on the way, intending to commit a terror attack.
Suspicion was raised when the girl, who was in a monit, told police that she didn’t have ID. She was then searched and the large knife was discovered.
