An IDF reserve soldier sustained severe injuries in a terror ramming attack today near al-Fawar in the Chevron region at a military post. The injured soldier, identified as Eden ben Vered, received on-site medical treatment. He was subsequently evacuated, fully conscious and in a stable condition, to Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva. The perpetrator behind the attack was swiftly neutralized by IDF reserve soldiers.

Security measures have been intensified across the area, with a focus on enhancing road safety.

Unfortunately, Eden’s condition worsened during the evacuation, leading to the initiation of a critical operation. His current state is deemed serious, and medical efforts are underway.

The IDF reported, “A ramming attack took place a short time ago, at a military post near the al-Fawar refugee camp in the Judea Brigade. IDF reserve soldiers neutralized the terrorist. Security forces are dispersed and are reinforcing the roads in the area.”

On Friday afternoon, the IDF confirmed an earlier ramming attack near the Adorayim junction, north of Otniel, where five soldiers were injured. During the incident, one IDF soldier sustained serious injuries, while four others suffered light to moderate injuries. All the injured personnel were promptly evacuated to receive medical treatment, with their families duly notified. The IDF soldiers present in the vicinity effectively neutralized the assailant.
