Three Palestinians carrying out terror attacks against soldiers and civilians this morning and afternoon have resulted in the death of the three attackers.
Shortly before 1 p.m., a Palestinian terrorist attempted to stab Israeli border policemen at a checkpost near the neighborhood of Har Choma in southern Yerusha;ayim. The 17-year-old Palestinian teenager was shot and killed by Israeli forces.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the teenager was Naim Ahmad Yousif Safi from the town of al-Ubediya east of Bais Lechem.
Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said that the Palestinian teen approached the Mazmoria checkpoint near Har Choma and took out a knife. Soldiers then shot him.
Earlier, two Palestinian teenagers were shot and killed by IDF troops when one of them opened fire at the soldiers. The soldiers had been located outside the Israeli settlement of Hinanit, near Jenin. The soldiers arrived in the area in response to reports of a rock throwing incident, the army said in a statement.
