
One person was hurt in a stabbing in central Israel this morning. The the attack occurred on a pedestrian bridge over Highway 4 near Givat Shmuel, as a 47-year-old yungerman was on his way to daven in Bnei Brak.
According to the victim’s statement to police, an Arab man suddenly stabbed him as he was walking across the bridge. The attacker then quickly fled the scene. The victim was taken by MDA to Sheba Medical Center in Tel HaShomer in moderate condition.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who remains at large.
The report quoted the attack victim’s wife as stating that the man was on his way to daven and that the assault occurred on the pedestrian bridge, where the perpetrator “gave him three hard strikes to the head.
“According to my husband, he had an Arab appearance, but beyond that, we don’t know a thing,” the victim’s wife was quoted as saying.
