Reb Chaim shlit”a relates to his student, Reb Uri Tigger shlit”a, that someone had mentioned to Reb Chaim that he has the sefer Rabbeinu Yeruchem that belonged to the Bais Yosef. The Bais Yosef wrote an index for himself of all the places that the Rabbeinu Yeruchem is mentioned in his very own sefer, the Bais Yosef.
There is another Sefer of rabeinu yerucham that has handwritten haaros from the steipler (& maybe from chazon ish also) reb chaim for many years wanted to see that in order to have the haaros. A few years ago someone found that sefer by a fellow here in New York and even had a copy of a few pages. Reb chaim was shown these copies & he asked to tell the guy in his name to please give him even just a copy of the pages with the haaros.
For some reason he refuses to do it. I have several videos showing how reb chaim asks and says that he wants it.
Reb chaim said that this sefer had belonged to Halpern (of bnei brak) & after he was nifer the sefer was lost no one knew who took it.
I have the fellows name & number with the videos.
If anyone out there is willing to do what it takes to be mehane maran shlita I can give you the info.
One of the rabanim who is friendly with this guy also got involved but suddenly after a few months turned his back and decided to go against the people trying to help reb chaim.
