When you think of summer Shabbosim or gloomy rainy days, what comes to mind? Long hours spent trying to find something fun and fulfilling to do! But how many books can you read, how many paint-by-numbers can you do before you realize: You’re bored.
Enter the Shpielman family, courtesy of Glattplay.
In the Beginning
Eytan Siboni loved to create things. Inspiration would strike and he’d be off to his workroom, designing, building, and refining his designs. He tried many different things, some becoming large successes, some resting forever as ideas sketched on paper. And then one day, in a small apartment in China where he lived with his wife and children purely for the sake of research, inspiration struck again. And this time, he ran with it. You see, Eytan realized that while there are various wonderful toys for Jewish children, there was no toy that was detailed, nothing that could help children envision their futures, act them out, and dream big while playing. So he started to carve.
What Came Next
Eytan carved and carved. And when he finished, he was holding a figurine so detailed, so beautiful, that his investors thought it should be a museum display. But that wasn’t Eytan’s dream. He wanted to make a toy, something playful and fun. But he still wanted it to retain that admirable beauty, that exquisite detail. And so he worked on it. There were many many many false starts. But he was stubborn. Jewish children would have a new toy to play with. At first, the material wasn’t quite right. The next shipment had some hat malfunctions, namely that the hats didn’t fit on the figures’ heads. The next batch had heads that didn’t stay on the figures’ shoulders. But finally, after long months of trial and error, Eytan hit the jackpot. The formula was exact, the shipment was perfect. And the Shpielman family was born.

My kids absolutely adore these little guys. Their faviorate one is the Shinzo. They don’t stop playing with them.
Shpielmans are the greatest toy to hit the frum world in the last 5 decades. It inspires yiraas shamayim in the children as well as shields then from outside influences of legos and other goyeshe toys. Characters like Shinzo give added value to what a yiddersher knderlech neee in today’s scary world. Hatzlacha.
Are they related to the Mitzvah Kinder?
I think their first cousins once removed
Love this stuff. I use this at home all the time. These mitzvah kinder are really a lot of fun. Can be used as a tool to teach children about ahavas Yisroel and current events.
These little guys have kept my littttle boyz occupied for hours so I can finnaly watch football in peace. Finally a great toy that all the kids absolutely love!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Zeyr gut gezuckt. Now, if only the Dolphins can start getting serious.
The Shinzo and Momo characters are a great blend. As long as The Menahel doesn’t catch them snoozing. Tottal tuff reish. Wait till you add a choonen to the mix. It might get very exciting.
Wow my kids can’t wait to get their Shpielmans and play with their Shinzo. They have been attracted to shinzo since they have seen all the advertisements recently. As a mother of 3 I cannot wait until I play with Shinzo along with my children.
Mixed feelings regarding these new toys apparently they have a lot of flexibility in the pieces need to be careful with the non- tznius positions especially with the Momo character.

Thanks to Momo for coming up with creative alternative ideas for shpielmans. You can use your imagination to create many new concepts. Love the zeidy and bubby act.

A great way to be mekarev your children and to ignite the spark of yiddishkeit. The issue we had was that the children barely had a chance to play with it when it arrived as my BIL (brother in law) and his friend Mosheleh played with the toys well ‘after the lights were turned off and the owners were in bed’ as the article above so aptly described. Its a Guaranteed keeper at a great Rate!
Will it become syndicated like a cartoon on television? These kids will be in great.
Got these from Freddy as a wedding gift.they’re awesome! Feel like I’ve been let out of a cage!
