It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rebbetzin Chana Weider a”h. She was 93.

The Rebbetzin – known as the Linzer Rebbetzin after the town of Linz, Austria, where she lived during the early years of her marriage – was the mother of the Klausenberg Rebbetzin, Rebbetzin Tzipora Halberstam, and the mother-in-law of the Klausenburger Rebbe of Boro Park.

The Rebbetzin was known for her kind and generous heart, and for devoting her energy and anything she possessed for the betterment of others.

Born in Hungary, the Rebbetzin was a daughter of Rav Pinchos Weider and the wife of Rav Aron Weider. After settling in the United States, the Weiders lived in Manhattan, and then in Crown Heights and Boro Park.

The Rebbetzin is slated to be buried in Eretz Yisroel.

Yehi zichroh boruch.
