The Dutch government has publicly acknowledged that funding provided for the salaries of a Palestinian NGO, was used to pay two employees who were indicted for the 2019 murder of 17-year-old Israeli, Rina Schnerb.

Her killers are members of the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) – which the European Union has designated as a terrorist group – and also employees of the Palestinian Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC). For the period 2013-2021, the Dutch representative in Ramallah pledged approximately $20million to this group.

Israeli institute NGO Monitor, whose research the Dutch-Israel advocacy organization Center for Information and Documentation on Israel (CIDI) and UK Lawyers for Israel, used to undergird a letter to the government and parliamentarians in the Hague in 2019 remarked that it applauded the Dutch statement and would “await serious sanctions, the return of the approximately $20million paid to the NGO and safeguards to prevent further misuse of funds.”
