It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of the Sadigura Rebbe, Rav Yisroel Moshe Friedman zt”l. He was 65 years old.
A member of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Agudas Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel, the rebbe was ill for some time and was hospitalized today at Tel Hashomer Medical Center after collapsing at his home in Shikun Hey in Bnei Brak.
The rebbe was the sixth admor of Sadigura, a Chassidus that traces itself to the Ruzhin dynasty.
A native of Tel Aviv, the rebbe learned at Yeshivas Kamenitz in Yerushalayim and at Yeshivas Ponovezh in Bnei Brak before settling in London after his marriage, learning the Sadigura Bais Medrash in Golders Green. Seven years ago, he relocated to Bnei Brak following the petirah of his father, Rav Avrohom Yaakov Friedman, the previous Sadigura Rebbe.
The rebbe returned to Eretz Yisroel a month ago after spending about half a year in Los Angeles receiving treatment for his illness.
The levayah will be held at the Sadigura Bais Medrash on Rechov Gutmacher in Bnei Brak, passing Yeshiva Rizhin en route to the Nachlas Yitzchok Bais Hachaim in Givatayim.
