It is with great sadness that we report the passing of the Yoka Rov, Rav Chaim Yeshayahu Koenig zt”l. He was in his high nineties.
The rov led his bais medrash on 55th Street in Boro Park, Brooklyn.
He was respected for his broad Torah knowledge and deep-seated yiras Shomayim.
The levayah will be held today at the Yoka Bais Medrash in Boro Park. Kevurah will follow at the Pupa Cemtery in Ossining.
The Rov will be succeeded by his son, Rav Shlomo.
