With nearly 100 hostages still languishing in Hamas captivity and acheinu bnei yisroel under the perpetual threat of rockets and missiles raining from the sky, yidden locally and around the world are gathering to their support and defense by beseeching Hashem for a yeshua.
This coming Sunday, the first day of Selichos, thousands of yidden from across the tri-state region will gather in Lakewood for a monumental atzeres tefillah in defense of our brethren hanesunim b’tzara u’beshivya in Eretz Yisroel, as well as to implore hakadosh baruch hu to spare Klal Yisroel from the scourge of antisemitism running rampant worldwide.
The atzeres will also address the impending implementation of new Israeli draft laws that threaten to force thousands of bnei torah into the military, posing an unprecedented threat to limud hatorah in Eretz Yisroel – the very lifeblood of the Jewish nation.
The atzeres tefillah, endorsed by dozens of rabbanim and roshei yeshiva from across the spectrum of Yiddishkeit, will be a stalwart and resolute show of achdus, as the largest Jewish communities in the U.S. join as one to proclaim their allegiance to Hashem, the Torah – and each other.
it has nothing to do with the hostages
Let them keep army nonsense out of this and it will be a success. Save the anti army rhetoric for the Romanians and Hungarians
Its a machaa on the draft and thats it.
atleast its not Satmar and in Newark.
It Is Satmar and NK.
Oh wow!!!!
Free the hostages
This is a total lie. This Atzeres Tefillah has nothing to do with hostages and EVERYTHING to do with drafting chareidim, whether they’re learning or not.
Uh huh. Hope it’s not a bashfest disguised as tefillah gathering.
It’s a rebranding of what was canceled last week. Supposedly the cancelation was for security reasons. I believe it’s to make it appear more as a Lakewood thing than a Satmar thing. You will see signs going up with same logo. If this was just a Yom tefilla for acheinu bnei Yisroel why didn’t it happen immediately after October 7?
“endorsed by dozens of rabbanim and roshei yeshiva from across the spectrum of Yiddishkeit” dozens out of the total
I’ll just be davening for the hostages in shul as I have
I think G-d can hear me fine there.
Whatever it is it should be done in a remote location. Making it in middle of Lakewood on a busy erev yt Sunday is not acceptable. Think of how many you are inconveniencing. I know the cause and it’s greater than anyone’s errands but a little thought process would help here. Lakewood is 1 big traffic mess all day everyday as it is.
It is not responsible this without showing who is behind this.
More importantly, who will decide who speaks?
Who will I insure that it isn’t only about the draft?
This was and still is billed as a large anti Israel demonstration. And that’s exactly how the media will interpret it and eat it up.
They only added in the little hostage thing much later.
Please avoid this Chillul Hashem and boycott this event and daven for the hostage’s and the Chayalim and their families from your own shul where Hashem is ever present and wants to hear your Teffilos.
The plan for the Atzeres is a joint effort by the 2 Satmar Rebbes. Location notwithstanding so it remains. If you can’t deal with it you can stay home.
waste of time and money
Let’s save the army things for the Romanians and hungarians what a wonderful comment from the people that are always preaching that we have to love all zionists that are hating us with no limits…
Stop and think what you sound like..
The Hungarians’ and Romanians’ priorities and loyalties are all krum.
They care about one thing only, “the shita”
Any Asifa they make is only about what’s in it for them.
If these organizers had wanted to have an atzeres tefillah for the hostages, they could have done so at any point in the last 11 months. (Yes, I’m aware that there was an event immediately after October 7, but nothing in Lakewood since.)
Using the hostages as a smokescreen to kasher or launder an anti-IDF rally during wartime is replusive.
Dozens?
