The morning after President Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un traded threats of violence, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson cautioned against fear and assured Americans to have “no concerns.” The president on Tuesdaywarned that any additional threats made by the isolated nation would be “met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”
According to Tillerson, that was simply a way of communicating directly with Kim: “What the president is doing is sending a strong message to North Korea in language that Kim Jong Un can understand, because he doesn’t seem to understand diplomatic language,” the secretary said.
“I think the president just wanted to be clear to the North Korean regime on the U.S. unquestionable ability to defend itself, will defend itself and its allies.” Tillerson added: “Americans should sleep well at night.” Read more.

  1. The Democrats claim it’s all Trump fault. Have they forgotten that their Democratic President Bill Clinton gave North Korea nuclear technology in 1994 who then “agreed” they’re not going to shoot us? Trump is busy cleaning up everyone’s mess, starting from Obama’s 8 years giant mess, the Mideast mess, foreign policy mess, Afghan mess, the ICE mess, the Yucca Mountain’s nuclear waste storage facility mess, etc.

  2. The headlines are designed to make the President look like a hothead. However, his statements are far from unique. General Mattis, the current SecDef, said the same thing to North Korea. Indeed, Israel has the same implicit threat hanging in the air over arab enemies at all times.

  3. Its Trumps fault for escalating the rhetoric. DPRK is as close to bombing the US as it always was. Which is as close to null as you can get. Kim wants to keep his godlike power. All his speeches are for his own people.
Trump is making messes where there were none in ME and Asia.
His statements are unique and were not agreed upon by all his advisers.
