Time Magazine Columnist’s Trump Quote Went Viral — Then He Admitted He Made It Up

Time Magazine columnist Ian Bremmer on Sunday tweeted a quote from President Donald Trump about North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un that quickly went viral — but it wasn’t real.

“President Trump in Tokyo: ‘Kim Jong Un is smarter and would make a better President than Sleepy Joe Biden.’” Bremmer wrote on Twitter.

Bremmer left the false post up for several hours before conceding he made up the quote and deleting the tweet, which he defended as “plausible.” During the short amount of time it was up, the tweet enraged hundreds of Twitter users, may who had angry replies to the message.

  1. I agree with you 100%. The Ram’a writes that one is not required to forgive the person who slandered him even after the slanderer publicly expressed regret and apologized publicly. Why? Because not everyone who heard the slander, also heard the public apology.

  2. Maybe we should start posting a bunch sometime f stuff about liberals and then excusing it as plausible because anything negative you can say about them is definitely plausible

  3. And its this same NY Times that Netanyahu & Co. always confer with before they make any policy regarding the Palestinians. Israel are their own greatest enemy.
