yitzchok-saftlasThere are many conferences, conventions and other opportunities during the year to receive inspiration and insight into important aspects of our everyday lives. However, there is only one event that is exclusively dedicated to helping executive directors, fundraisers and concerned lay leaders in our community raise more money for their schools and non-profit organizations. That unique event is the 2010 Winter Fundraising Seminar titled, “Raising Donors and Donations.”

After two sold-out fundraising events in 2009, the seminar has been expanded for 2010. Featuring a new lineup of all-star presenters and new topics, this event focuses exclusively on the brass tacks of fundraising. It will also offer the opportunity for fundraisers to learn new techniques, get the answers to their toughest fundraising questions, free one-on-one consultations with fundraising experts, networking opportunities and roundtable discussions. The event will be held on Wednesday, 3 Adar/February 17, and Thursday, 4 Adar/February 18, at a beautiful, new location, the DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown, New York, conveniently located just one hour from Brooklyn and 30 minutes from Northern New Jersey.

The “Raising Donors and Donations” event is jointly hosted by Herschel Leiner, president of H. Leiner & Co., and by Yitzchok Saftlas, President of Bottom Line Marketing Group.

Herschel Leiner has three decades of experience in fundraising and marketing. He has successfully helped raise over $100 million for corporate and nonprofit clients and organizations, and is consulted by numerous companies and organizations on an ongoing basis. Yitzchok Saftlas is a recognized expert in getting results through marketing and advertising. He has worked with hundreds of non-profit, political and corporate clients over the past 20 years.

Additional presenters include Howard Tzvi Friedman, Founding Partner of Lanx Management LLC, on how to develop and maintain fundraising relationships with federations, foundations and Jewry at large; and Jonathan Gassman CAP, CFP, CPA, Director of Wealth Management at Gassman & Golodny and Planning Concepts, Inc., on developing a planned giving program. The seminar will be honored with divrei chizuk from Rav Baruch Yehuda Gradon, rosh kollel of Kollel Merkaz HaTorah/Torah Center of Los Angeles, California.

The seminar will also feature an exciting roundtable devoted to hearing from executive directors on the front lines raising funds. The roundtable session is titled, “Share your greatest fundraising stories and successes, most challenging obstacles and burning questions with your peers.” This open discussion will be devoted to having fundraisers share their experiences, allowing others the opportunity to put those successful ideas to immediate use.
