In light of the Meron tragedy that occurred last year on Lag Ba’omer, the Rebbe of Toldos Aharon has ordered his Chassidim not to hold an organized event in Meron on Lag Ba’omer this year.
In a letter addressed to Eliyahu Arend, the chareidi advisor of Meron project manager Zvi Tessler, Zvi Michel Heller, chairman of Simchas Rashbi, states that Toldos Aharon will not be holding an event this year on Mount Meron.
Heller further writes: “Regarding your request to inform you of plans from the Toldos Aharon community this year in Meron for Lag Ba’omer, we hereby inform you that the Rebbe of Toldos Aharon will not be going to Meron on Lab Ba’omer this year.”
Heller also writes: “We are informing you after an inquiry with our kehillah that about 2,000 people, men and women, are preparing to arrive in Meron between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. Our prayers are that no harm befall anyone.”
There is a possibility of Toldos Aharon holding an hour-long event on the evening following Lag Ba’omer for the Chassidim of Toldos Aharon with dancing but without any live music.
How will some poeple be yoitze Lag B’oimer without a hadlookeh by the Rebbe in Meron??

The Rebbe lost his beloved wife recently as well, this may have had a part in his decision.
