Tonight: Hespeidim for Rav Dovid Kviat zt”l at Mirrer Yeshiva

This evening, a hesped gathering will be held at the Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn, NY, to mark the shloshim since the passing of Rav Dovid Kviat zt”l, renowned rov, maggid shiur and mechaber seforim and one of the last links to the Mirrer Yeshiva of pre-war Europe.

Rav Kviat served for decades as a R”M at the Mirrer Yeshiva, being marbitz Torah to countless talmidim. Rav Kviat was the rov of Agudas Yisroel-Snif Chofetz Chaim of 18th Avenue in Boro Park for over 35 years and a member of the nesius of Agudas Yisroel of America. Most notably, he authored over 40 seforim, including his famous works titled Sukkas Dovid.

At the gathering tonight, the Mirrer roshei yeshiva will speak, as will family members of Rav Kviat. The hespeidim will begin at 8:15 p.m. and the program will be followed by Maariv.

The Mirrer Yeshiva is located in at 1791 Ocean Parkway, corner of Avenue R, in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
