Ali Akbar Velayati, a top adviser to Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said on a visit to Damascus that Tehran would respond to Israel’s reported strike on an Iranian military installation in Syria this week, TOI reports.
“The Israeli crime will not go unanswered,” he says, according to the Beirut-based Al-Mayadeen television network.
Seven Iranians are said to have been killed in the strike on the T4 base.
