Aided by the EU, the PA has created a “historic” village next to the Yerushalayim-Chevron highway over the past two years.
The Regavim legal association explained that this was achieved by renovating two ruined watchman’s huts and adding over a dozen new structures spread out over a huge tract of land between the highway and the Neveh Daniel settlement.
An EU sign on one building proclaims “Rehabilitation of the Public House in Shoshalhleh” as if a village once existed there, despite the absence of any such settlement in maps going back to 1880.
“This is another step in the Palestinian Authority-European Union seizing control over strategic areas,” Regavim warned.
