TRAGEDY IN MONROE: Parents and Daughter Pass Away in Home Fire

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petiros of Kalman Lazer Goldstein, his wife Sarah Goldstein, and their 7-year-old daughter Miriam.

The Goldsteins passed away in a fire that engulfed their home on Highland Avenue in Monroe, near Kiryas Yoel.

Firefighters battled the flames in the wee hours of the morning, but were unable to extricate the Goldsteins, who were trapped inside.

Levayah details will be provided once they are finalized.

    Unimportant but curious, I did not know that there was a non-satmar frum community in Monroe vicinity?
    Or were they just an exception.

    • Quite a number of non-hasidic people live in the area, outside the Metro New York City region, where they can get normal housing etc.

      In fact, there are any number of non-hasidic Yeshivas within 10 minutes of KJ. The town of KJ welcomes them with open arms all the time.

    Let’s bear in mind Klal Yisroel are called adam, because we are limbs of one body.
    A Yid is a Yid is a Yid… No need to dissect which sect…
