Tragedy in Monsey: Child Hit By Vehicle and Killed in Kaser Village

[Updated] A young child was struck and killed by a vehicle this afternoon in Kaser Village, the Vizhnitzer enclave in the heart of Monsey, NY.

Hatzolah rushed the 15-month-old toddler to Good Samaritan Hospital, where she passed away.

The child, Gittel Rosenberg a”h, was a daughter of R’ Levi Yitzchok Rosenberg.

JBN reports that in an unspeakably tragic twist, the father accidentally drove a Toyota Sienna over his child.

The incident took place at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Phyliss Terrace, a stone’s throw from the main Vizhnitzer Bais Medrash.

The area is known to be a heavily-trafficked one, with little room for maneuverability for both vehicles and pedestrians.

Police are currently on scene, investigating the incident.

The levayah will be held at 8:15 p.m. on Suzanne Drive.
