An Israeli man was killed in a car accident in Ukraine on Thursday morning, while heading back to Israel after the Jewish new year.

The collision, between a minibus and bus, occurred some 70 kilometers (43.5 miles) from Uman.

The man was identified as 45-year-old Avraham Levi, a father of ten from the central city of Bet Shemesh.

“With the help of other paramedics and the Uman clinic staff, we performed CPR at the scene of the accident on one of the passengers, who was critically injured, but unfortunately, after the resuscitation efforts, his death was declared at the scene,” a United Hatzalah medic said.
