Rep. Trey Gowdy, chairman of a key House committee, announced Wednesday that he will not run for reelection.
“There is a time to come and a time to go. This is the right time, for me, to leave politics and return to the justice system,” he said in a statement on Twitter.
Gowdy is the tenth GOP committee chairman to head for the exit this cycle.

We thought Trey Gowdy would be very good but his bark is worse than his bite and no government criminals were arrested.
AG Jeff Sessions who doesn’t even have the bark will surely not indict anyone.
