The National Weather Service says much of the Tri-State area could receive a blanket of snow, along with heavy winds, over the weekend.
AccuWeather says New York City could get 3-6 inches of snow and 6-12 inches may fall in Central New Jersey, the Jersey Shore, and Eastern Long Island.
However, the exact track of the winter storm system is still uncertain. A difference of only 100 miles will have a significant impact on the weather across the region.
A glancing blow with less snow and lighter winds remains a possibility for the region.
A winter storm watch is in effect from Shabbos morning through Sunday morning.
