snowSpring is here, but it looks like winter outside. “Around the area, here’s what we’re looking at: variety and lots of it,” said CBS 2 meteorologist John Elliott. “Some heavier snow now into parts of Orange County, this will push into Rockland County, Bergen County also.”

“On Suffolk County, some more significant rain around Islip – this is going to push farther to the east,” he said.

Northern New Jersey also saw snow, while parts of Monmouth and Ocean Counties farther south saw heavy rain, and could possibly see thunderstorms.

Light snow and fog made for slower going on Wednesday’s morning commute in the Big Apple. New York City will receive only a coating of snow – up to two inches. North and west of the city will see anywhere from two inches to nine inches.
