Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has signed onto a pro-Israel letter, presented to him by a Christian Zionist group, calling for, among other things, the U.S. Embassy to be moved to Yerushalayim.

The letter was initiated by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, a Christian Zionist organization, and its network, the American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI), which represents 60 million evangelical Christians.

In the letter, the ACLI asked both presidential candidates to affirm the following: relocate the U.S. embassy to Yerushalayim, renew and strengthen America’s Memorandum of Understanding with Israel, combat efforts to boycott, divest or sanction Israel, monitor and impose any new sanctions on Iran and oppose any outside solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“The vast majority of the American people support Israel, and it is our responsibility to make sure that the next president of the United States reflects the will of people and stands in friendship with the nation and people of Israel,” the letter stated.

Susan Michael, the ICEJ’s U.S. director, said “the policies Mr. Trump has agreed to will enhance Israel’s standing in the world and directly benefit the United States in security, innovation, technology, and intelligence.”

The ACLI letter was signed by Evangelical leaders representing diverse groups and denominations, including Hispanic and African American Christians; among them Jerry Johnson, CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters; Roberta Combs, president of the Christian Coalition; Rev. Sam Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference; Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America; Rev. Harry Jackson, presiding bishop of the International Communion of Evangelical Churches; Jane Hansen Hoyt, president of AGLOW International; James Dobson, president of Family Talk Radio; Janet Parshall, nationally-syndicated talk show host, and Jim Showers, executive director of The Friends of Israel. 1. Embasies work well in business districts.
This is the GOP hate aim to clamor confused jewish votes and give ailment to human deed.

    A total hate sham.

    • Part of this comment was trunkated by editor edit. A point was the international embassy in the heart of our prayer in Jerusalem would distract prayer thought in many at the Kotel. It might distract city commerce. Having it where it is is smart. Missing the urge to make Jerusalem the political capital for all notes it is a spiritual capital. Keep the prayers and business goals separate. A very forced plan by the GOP.

  2. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW IN THE WORLD IS THIS — SHOWING FRIENDSHIP TO THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL — “HATE”?????????

  3. The location of the Embassy is a silly issue. It means nothing in the larger scope of complicated problems in the Middle East. It won’t make a difference where the location is.
