President Donald Trump blasted Big Pharma for taking out television ads alleging he is raising prescription drug prices for seniors.

“The ad is a lie!” Trump tweeted on Tuesday.

On Friday, Trump signed a series of executive orders geared toward lowering the prices Americans pay for prescription drugs.

“What I have done will lead to a 50% REDUCTION in prices, at least, & Big Pharma is not happy about it,” he wrote. “No other President would….be able to produce what I have.”

Trump said the only reason Big Pharma is putting out “nasty ads” is because the “massive PRICE REDUCTIONS you are getting – not good for them.”

  1. We don’t need lowered prices and low-quality cheap care like in Soviet Union. We need medical research and we need drug availability and we need outstanding education for medical doctors and staff. If it happens that not everyone can afford high-quality healthcare (strange! they can all afford iPhones and cable TV and large living quarters and house remodeling), President Trump is welcome to pay for someone’s medical treatment with his own money.

  2. In some states, such as NY, the patient when receiving a prescription must immediately choose a pharmacy before walking out of the office to which the doctor’s office electronically sends the prescription making it impossible to compare prices. Prices can differ on ordinary prescriptions by as much as 300% from one pharmacy to another just down the block.
Had such a case not so long ago when a visitor from out of town had a paper prescription for an ordinary antibiotic to fill. One large chain drug store want $75 to fill it. The local pharmacy two short blocks away filled it for $25.

  3. Big pharma and the AMA are not our friend. Their are not interested in truth, our health or well-being. They are in the business of making money, which they do very well. If it is Zelenko and covid, or large dose vitamin C, or chiropractic 30 years ago, money is their goal and not our wellness. They lost one of the longest fought anti-trust suits in America history. With enough lawyers OJ could get aquited, but they lost the following suit:
