President Trump blasted Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) Monday for tweets she made suggesting that American lawmakers were motivated to defend Israel by money.

“Anti-Semitism is real and I am grateful for Jewish allies and colleagues who are educating me on the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes,” Omar, one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, said in her apology statement.

“My intention is never to offend my constituents or Jewish Americans as a whole. We have to always be willing to step back and think through criticism, just as I expect people to hear me when others attack me for my identity. This is why I unequivocally apologize.”

In her apology, Omar stood by her criticism of AIPAC’s influence.

“At the same time, I reaffirm the problematic role of lobbyists in our politics, whether it be AIPAC, the NRA or the fossil fuel industry. It’s gone on too long and we must be willing to address it,” Omar wrote.

“I think she should be ashamed of herself,” he told reporters on Air Force One while heading to a rally in El Paso, Texas.

“I think it was a terrible statement, and I don’t think her apology was adequate.”

  1. I agree with him. These are not twenty year-old tweets. She currently believes that Jewish mone is influencing American politics (more so than CAIRE, and lobbies for alternative lifestyles etc.)

  2. President Trump only says that because he’s in the pocket of the Joooooz, bought and paid for by AIPAC. That’s right, it’s the Jooooz that have the world hypnotized. They control all the media and they control all the money; yep, it’s them Jooooz pulling all the strings. Not that I mean it in an antisemitic way, of course. In the future I’ll try not to say anything that will be misconstrued as antisemitic (by those Jooooz).

    • Everything you’re saying is %100 true. I’ve said the same for years, but because of the color of my skin, I get away with it.

  3. The issue with her anti Semitism and standard muslim hatred is really secondary to the fact that people in this country are electing leaders and members of congress with these ideologies. It goes to show the drastic decline in the mindset of the American people. THAT, to me, is the most worrisome issue.
