President Donald Trump tweeted on Monday that his former national security adviser John Bolton “was such a jerk” for criticizing his “love letters” from North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
Trump, who has attempted to block Bolton from publishing a book about his time in the administration, tweeted on Monday: “Just heard that Wacko John Bolton was talking of the fact that I discussed ‘love letters from Kim Jong Un’ as though I viewed them as just that. Obviously, was just being sarcastic. Bolton was such a jerk!”
Trump has repeatedly praised Kim Jong Un, saying they have a “good relationship,” and that they “fell in love,” after meeting. The president said at a rally in 2018 that Kim “wrote me beautiful letters, and they’re great letters. We fell in love.”
