President-elect Donald Trump has named Stephen Miller as the White House deputy chief of staff for policy for his upcoming term.

Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio), Vice President-elect, extended congratulations to Miller on his new appointment, with CNN first breaking the news. Known as a key architect of Trump’s immigration strategy, Miller has pushed for more restrictive immigration measures and held a senior advisory role on these issues during Trump’s previous administration.

In the new capacity as deputy chief of staff for policy, Miller’s influence in the White House would broaden, enabling him to work closely with Chief of Staff Susie Wiles to ensure efficient operations across the West Wing.

After his initial tenure in the White House, Miller founded the America First Legal Foundation, a conservative legal group staffed by numerous former Trump administration officials.
