President Trump on Tuesday called on Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) to resign for comments on Israel that were criticized as anti-Semitic.

“I think she should either resign from Congress or she should certainly resign from the House Foreign Affairs Committee,” Trump said of the freshman lawmaker.

Omar apologized on Monday for suggesting that U.S. support for a Jewish state is the result of money flowing from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, an influential pro-Israel lobbying group.

The president said Omar’s comments are “deep seated in her heart” and called her apology “lame.”

  1. A little over 20 years ago she came to the US from Somalia a war ravaged impoverished Islamic state in East Africa where there are no human rights and where about half a million Somalis have been killed in a still ongoing civil war with some of the worst Islamic terrorists on the planet.
Why doesn’t anyone ask her about that?

  2. interesting what islam says about muslims being citizens of non-muslims countries. The quran has a number of statements on this as does sharia law. But here’s some interesting info : Fatwa 202420 from islamweb.net. (google it). This fatwa is written by islamic scholars and answers a muslims question “can a muslim take an oath of allegiance when entering a non-muslim country. Here’s an excerpt from the fatwa: “For more benefit, kindly refer to Fataawa 82552 and 87140. We have explained in them that in case of dire necessity, a Muslim who gives the pledge of allegiance to one of these governments may conceal his intention and use Tawriyah (i.e. saying something which has more than one meaning and intending a meaning different from what the listener is likely to understand), like to intend his allegiance only to the Muslims in those lands and to benefit that country by guiding its people to enter Islam.”

The fatwa is short and takes about 2 minutes to read. It uses the quran (60.1) and islamic historian Al-Qurtubi’s statements for support.
