President Trump on Tuesday stepped up his attacks against wind power, claiming that the structures decrease property values and that the noise they emit causes cancer.

“If you have a windmill anywhere near your house, congratulations, your house just went down 75 percent in value. And they say the noise causes cancer,” the president said while delivering remarks at the National Republican Congressional Committee’s annual spring dinner. He offered no evidence to support the claim.

The president also said windmills are a “graveyard for birds.”

“If you love birds, you never want to walk under a windmill, because it’s a sad, sad sight.”

    • Prepare to be attacked by the minions of Kahal Anshei Ohavei Trump.

A more serious response from a centrist (me, naturally) is that we’re not blind to who he is, but he’s far better than the alternatives the Democrats have offered and are currently offering.

  1. The publicity Trump gets out of this could not be bought for all the money in the Clinton foundation. To me the real point is the howls from the “mainstream” media (the internet is full of them) over this completely meaningless statement are way louder and wider spread than, for example, the complaints about the anti-Semitism of certain elected officials mentioned in the media (but no way near to the extent or speed in this case) or that of the “new green plan” which has the most severe potential repercussions. So whether he meant to or not, Trump has let the media to show even more their partisanship and hypocrisy.

  2. Trump is dropping our vast new dream to fit a coal entitlement but the birds are falling from the sky. I think the trick is having a drive to his golfers. They can never see a dream with wind. It hurts the game.
