Former President Donald Trump responded to a message from the mother of Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum, a 20-year-old Marine who was killed last month along with 12 other U.S. service members outside Kabul’s airport, consoling her for her loss.
“Thank you, Kathy. America feels your loss and fully understands your pain. Rylee will never be forgotten,” Trump said in a Wednesday statement.
In her message, shared in the email blast by Trump’s Save America PAC, Kathy McCollum urged Trump to run for the White House in 2024, blaming President Joe Biden for her son’s death.
“Thank you. Just want the family to know I support them. We need the corrupt pseudo president gone. President Trump has to run. My son should not be gone. President Trump would never [have] allowed this to happen,” Kathy wrote in the message.
